The San Francisco Fine Print Fair is an annual exhibition and sale that takes place in January at Fort Mason, on the marina with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Sixteen select fine art dealers from the US and Canada will exhibit inventories comprising five centuries of fine prints ranging from Old Master to contemporary.
The public is invited to view and purchase original etchings by Rembrandt, woodcuts by Dürer, lithographs by Picasso, Matisse, and Chagall, German Expressionist prints, prints by Hiroshige and Hokusai, California artists, and many more.
The show offers connoisseurs and new collectors an opportunity to examine and learn about the history of printmaking, printmaking techniques, and the work of many artists; and a rare opportunity to ask questions of knowledgeable dealers. The fair is free and open to the public. The San Francisco Print Fair is sponsored by the International Fine Print Dealers Association.
