(1834 - 1903)

STREET AT SAVERNE 1858. Kennedy 19; Glasgow 14iv. Etching and openbite or sandpaper ground, 209 x 159 mm (8.22 x 6.25”), printed in dark brownish-black ink on China paper mounted on Japan. A fine impression in very good condition except for pale foxing on verso. Published in Douze eaux-fortes d'après Nature (Twelve Etchings from Nature, the so-called French Set) in 1858. Kennedy characterised the fourth state impressions before cancellation as “recent”, in 1910.
