A PEEP AT THE GAS LIGHTS IN PALL MALL. 1809. Grego Vol. II, pg. 167; B. M. Satires 11440. Hand-colored etching, 233 x 331 mm (9.2 x 13.0"), trimmed inside the plate mark but outside the image and title. Very good color. Laid down on card, and with pale stains in lower area.
The sketch represents a view of the first thoroughfare where gas was employed to illuminate the streets, with wonderful comments from the people in the street.
