MELENCOLIA I. 1514. Meder 75 II f, the final state. Engraving on paper with a Crowned City Shield watermark: Meder wz. 46. A fine, silvery impression in good condition, except for a repaired tear into the comet at top edge, and a few small flaws. Considered to be one of the artist’s three most important prints. Provenance: Fürst Karl Paar (Lugt 2009), W. Bell Scott (Lugt 2607), Ackland Museum Duplicate, and R. E. Lewis, Inc.
