Albrecht Dürer (1471 - 1528)

THE MARTYRDOM OF ST. CATHERINE OF ALEXANDRIA. 1496-97. Meder 236c (of g), Woodcut on laid paper, 394 x 288 mm (15.51 x 11.34"), with a watermark similar to Meder wz. 58 (Wäppchen mit Reichsapfel), used from 1565 to 1572, and Meder wz. 151, which is cited for this edition, 1560-1580. A very good impression, but showing some wear to the block. Very good condition.
