9 1/16) plus narrow margins. A fine impression of this rare print. Small flaws.
Baptiste Monnoyer le vieux, as he was known, was a brilliant
painter of flowers and fruit and an etcher who made a number
of plates of vases of flowers. His work decorated the principal
royal palaces in France, and after his move to England in
1685 he worked for Queen Mary II and for Queen Anne.
