Bernardo Daddi (1512 - 1570)
CYBELE IN HER CHARIOT, after Giulio Romano. Bartsch 18 (du Maitre au Dé). Engraving, 217 x 179 mm (8 11/16 x 7 1/16"), trimmed just outside the borderline. Very good impression, slightly toned, and with glue stains on verso. With the verses below trimmed off.
Bartsch says that this print was among the group that were retouched “avec beaucoup de soin et d’art” by Philippe Thomassin who also added the name of the publisher, Antonio Salamanca (1500 - 1562).
